Our Judge Louise R. Harris from New Zealand

I acquired my first Samoyed in 1969. I began showing Samoyeds in 1970 and since then have bred and owned twenty-five New Zealand champions including the first South Island bred Grand Champion Samoyed.

When I married Brian, I inherited his Tibetan Terriers, O.E.S., and Elkhounds. Together Brian and I have owned or bred one hundred and thirty New Zealand, Australian or US Champion Samoyeds, Tibetan Terriers, Old English Sheepdogs and Norwegian Elkhounds. In 1989 I was admitted to the New Zealand Kennel Club Judges Panel. In 2021 I was appointed to the FCI International All Breeds Judges panel. I have had the great privilege to judge in New Zealand, Australia, USA, Ireland, Russia, China, South Africa, Canada and the United Kingdom. In 2000 I was made a life member of the Dominion Samoyed Club.In 2001 I was made a Life Member of the Supreme Show Dog & Puppy Contest.
